and I used to be angry.
Healing my trauma has been a lifelong journey because, for so many years I chose what was familiar rather than what was truly good for my soul.
It's easy to do when you're raised like most of us, with the dogmatic religiosity and internalized patriarchal understanding of being good is essential that taught you being good meant giving to everyone else without understanding yourself. Choosing people and partners will always reflect the wounds we haven't healed.
In A Course in Miracles it says that we all feel alien here, because this is not our home. So as much as my story may resonate, I've come to learn in counseling for more than ten years, that we all feel uncomfortable in this world - we are all searching.
I was in survival. It made me ineffective and kept me super small. While it protected me for a time, it kept me from loving and living authentically.
I educated myself in every way and learned from the best teachers. Including Marianne Williamson, Michael B. Beckwith, David Ghyam, Davidji and in my practice as a therapist, Mirace Mind Coach
What I've know now is this no one needs fixing. The real work is inside.
It's been quite a journey - just ask anyone that knows me.
Learning to trust yourself while facing your own patterns, wounds and imperfections is some of the hardest and equally rewarding work you'll ever do.
I've learned that being fully yourself is just as empowering as accepting others exactly as they - and loving them anyway.
Today, I've had the privilege of helping hundreds of women reclaim their power, find authentic community, trust their divine gifts, and lovingly speak their truth - no matter what they've endured.
